The Borough, Montacute

I met up with my friend, Roger, and Carly the retriever for a walk in the fields around Montacute this morning and took this as we walked back through the village.

This terrace of ham stone cottages stands in the little square opposite the entrance to Montacute House and is, to my mind, quintessential England.

Kate brought Sophie over for her first experience of swimming in the local indoor pool this afternoon. She really enjoyed splashing her Mum and Grandma.
