Canal Barge

I spent another lovely morning with J.   His mum decided not to send him to nursery, although his chicken pox is not now contagious he does still have spots, so she thought it best to keep him home another day. We took Sebastian for a walk along the canal at Mamhilad,  It was great, there was such a lot to see; a family of ducks, moorhens, beautiful waterside flowers, cyclists, owners with dogs and the best bit by far for J was seeing the bright yellow barge called "The Gilwern Duchess" coming towards us from under the bridge.  He was thrilled and loved it when the skipper waved to him.  I later rang Phyllis, my mother-in-law, to wish her a Happy 91st Birthday, as she was in Blackpool, so I thought;  only to be told that she was actually in Liverpool on a coach doing "The Beatles Tour", they were going back to Blackpool later in the day.  What a great lady!
