Celebration Cake

This wonderful cake was made especially for our village Jubilee teas this afternoon - the icing looked like ermine!
Children played 1950's style games outside, and there was an interesting display of coronation and jubilee memorabilia to view. Lots of people came and enjoyed a delicious tea together, which was set out on long tables in the village hall.
The W.I. produced scones with jam and cream, fruit cake, chocolate cake, lemon drizzles - and many more.
The Celebration Cake was cut and shared at the end.
Eventually, and miraculously, everything was cleared away - this always happens at these events due to everyone helping out so willingly. It is truly amazing.
And tomorrow - we can relax after three days of celebrations!
