This is the last of the original Mercury spacecraft.

Only a single astronaut on these, this one was flown by "Gordo" Cooper. He also flew in Gemini 5 with Pete Conrad.

Launched on top of an Atlas booster.

On display at the Johnson Space Center in Houston TX.

Its always amazing to see the "real thing"....they sent these into orbit in the '60s!!!!!!
