Quidditch...

So what's the deal with Quidditch?

Why is it such a pointless game?  The winner of the game is the team that manages to catch the golden snitch first and gains 150 points.  So what's with all the pantomime of scoring goals, defending, and saving?  What not just channel the whole team into assisting the seeker to get the snitch?

Ewan's beavers were doing some sort of first aid thing tonight.  They were told they could put the plaster anywhere they wanted.  Middle of the foreheid...  That'll do it....
