I've gone a little off piste to avoid talking about the weather today - which everyone will no doubt do....

This is Stanley the dog who came out for dinner with us. In fairness he was very well behaved but did like to occasionally jump onto my Uncle's knee in the hope some gammon or pie would be passed down.

He reminded me of Razzle the dog owned by one of favourite Children's TV characters - Johnny Briggs - when I was young.

I would have given old Stanley some of my food but I er ate it all
