Peony

Not in my garden sadly but a beautiful colour and huge flower!

Working this morning then home to some Parish work, walk Ted and then pick up Lisa for a trip to Aylesbury.  Lisa offered to come and help me choose new glasses, a successful trip, now have to wait a week for them to be made.  Wearing glasses all day every day it's quite nice to have a change every couple of years.

We also went to find a new heat lamp for Sheldon who had been a bit chilly  as the bulb had blown overnight.  A new one costs £80....Tortoise are quite high maintenance!  I dropped Lisa off and stopped for a cuppa, Lisa was stroking Pippa dog and came across a Tick.......yuk!!  My first dog Sam had quite a few ticks in his life time and I brought some special tick tweezers (although I never go to use them on him!) so I popped home to get them and performed the tick removal, very simple and worked a treat!  A good afternoon indeed.
