First stop

on my little tour through Germany was at the castle in which a dear childhood friend lives. It is in "Oberfranken" , northeast of Bamberg and situated in an idyllic landscape.
We spent a great afternoon talking, talking, talking...
The castle was inherited nearly in ruins in the early Fifties and has been a work of ongoing renovation ever since. 
My friend lived a very hard working life. Farming, renovating, and raising 5 children. Now she gave the trust to her kids and enjoys quieter times with her husband. The extra photo shows two lambs that were born to her sheep heard recently.
