One species each day (from my backyard)

I stayed home from work today and had some time to take a photograph of another species in my backyard. It's a weed again, but again a very pretty one: Viola arvensis (field pansy). This one was facing away from the sun, so taking a good picture was a little tricky. It was also a little low by the ground, too low for the tripod, so the articulated screen of my camera got used again. The sepals are visibly through the petals, showing how thin they are.
