Glasgow Day 3 The Finnieston Crane
Today, daughter#2 and Violet returned home after keeping me company for the days that Mr MC was attending lectures. This afternoon, lectures finished, we walked along the banks of the River Clyde. I say walk - at times the wind was so strong we almost flew!
Today's shot is of the Finnieston Crane. This imposing structure, just yards from our hotel, is a reminder of Glasgow's engineering heritage. It was used for loading cargo, especially steam locomotives, to be exported worldwide.
There is no Day 2 as I didn't take my camera out on such a thoroughly grey and wet day as we had yesterday.
