Syringa meyerii Palibin

This is one of my favourite plants in the garden.  It has more flowers this year than I have ever seen before.  We bought as a tiny plant from the Waterwheel nursery about 25 years ago when living in Cardiff. They almost didn't sell the plant to us cos it was so weak.  It then came with us.  Over the years it has just grown and grown.  Now a 6' by 4' shrub.  Lovely at this time of year the smell is heavenly.  In the autumn the leaves go the most golden colour and the shrub is always covered in dewy spiders webs.
