The Pentland hills are massive yet appear completely dwarfed by the enormity of this cloud formation.

More seriously, the ominous clouds rolling towards the city struck me as a metaphor for the harsh economics looming ahead.
Just heard of another company having to pull out of their dance studio.
Rents and running costs are impossibly high.
Their minimal Arts funding was crucial to early stages of development - withdrawn due to cutbacks.
The economic climate doesn't allow for slow burners...things that take time to build.
They worked their backsides off, put so much on the line...my heart bleeds for them.
Affordable spaces that facilitate creativity across every sphere are essential.
These are where the seeds of ideas germinate that often bring benefits to the wider community.

Across the board, I seem to be coming across more and more people being squashed into corners.
Surely, something has to give?
