Night Heron

It was definitely daytime, but it is a Night Heron, hanging out at the fish cleaning station at the harbor. The white string is a plume that he flung from one side to another. I can't figure it out--I was hoping the plume would morph into a grand hairdo, but it seems to be exactly what you see: one long thin feather. The bird was very tame, clearly having found a solid food source.
