Three little ducks

..went swimming well, cycling actually one day. A long haul cycle along the Union Canal to Linlithgow for a well-received lunch and then back again. Must have covered at least forty miles and boy do I feel it. I am well and truly knackered now!

First born beautiful boy was the hero of the day when he rescued a baby duckling that had, hmm, how to describe this, fallen off the canal. It's hard to describe but the duckling had fallen down what was like an overflow drop below the level of the water and for the life of him couldn't get back up onto the canal to be with his mum and siblings. Mum wasn't too pleased about the whole scenario - probably more so at FBBB who, for all she knew, was going to harm her little one. Anyway, a happy ending as he was safely put back on the water to paddle off with the rest of the crew. Didn't have my long telephoto lens with me today to take a close-up of the happily reunited family, so a hedgerow at Linlithgow it is.
