Auchindrain

Another wet start but we were determined to get out and about so today we headed for Auchindrain a preserved highland township.
By the time we arrived the sun had started to shine and the rain had stopped better still Maeve is allowed to wander round the township too :-)
This place provides a fascinating insight into a now lost way of life.
After our wander round we headed for Inverary and had lunch at the George Hotel :-)
It was then back to Oban for a walk along to Dunollie Castle :-)
I have put in some extra shots of Auchindrain to give a flavour of the sights you can see. I do like the cruck framed barn with it's reed thatched roof.
