It Has Started
Up first thing and over to Mum and Dads to wait for the new kitchen to be delivered and the fitter to start the work.
The fitter arrived first.
No problem though because he just started removing the old one and arranging for the electrician and plumber.
But before he did that he photogaphed the manufacturers sticker (Hygena) which was still clear as a bell inside one of the cupboards ............from 1958 when the house was built. He also photographed the zinc lined bread cupboard (yep - it was basically a built in bread bin).
We left them to it shortly after the new kitchen was delivered (minus a sink for some reason ...... but that will be sorted) and headed off to the photographes who shot my daughters wedding to put in the order for our album.
It will be e-mailed to us for approval before being put together by a firm .......in Australia.
Talk about a glbal market.
Lunch was partaken off at the Braid Hills Driving Range where by chance we met the gent who had driven myself and daughter to the wedding in his 1953 Riley Elf and who is the grandfather of the photographers.
When we left after lunch I stopped and take a few snaps of the view over Edinburgh .......... well, it was too nice a day not to.
The light on Tower Mains - Arthus Seat - and The Royal Observatory was great ............ for a change.
