Big Blue River

In January, I took a photo of the frozen Big Blue River.  Today, I understood why it is the BIG Blue River. Nebraska has had a lot of rain over the last few weeks, and the fields are saturated. The river is out of it's banks, and is still rising.  I drove up from the South after being rerouted through back roads, due to flooding.  I stood on a bridge to take this photo, and officials closed the road because water started filling the low spots.
