Shag in the golden hour of dawn
This was first shot of day and was a bit of a fluke although I was ready with camera in case something happened quickly. That is one lesson I have learned. I was looking to see if the grasses by the Thorp Drain that empties into the estuary would be nice and gold and sure enough they were, although this is salt wort glowing. The shag popping up was a bonus. Straight from camera which has allowed me to have a great day in the garden doing some tidying up before winter.
Cut back hostas, japanese irises, veronica and flaxes. Went and bought two camellia and planted those. Les Jury a red and Brushwoods Yellow- a creamy one. Time will tell if they are a good choice or not.
