Walking...

... the great marsh in Plum Island, a fantastic barrier island States park and preserve in Massachusetts on a glorious day. The expansive beaches were quite a sight too (see extras) though the Atlantic waters were a tad cold to my taste.

The park is a popular destination for birders -- of which there were a great number, armed with binoculars and cameras with lenses bigger than a small child. An interesting species birders are, sneaking around quietly, stopping to peer at something no one else can see, and frowning upon the rest of us for laughing or talking too loudly :)

(as a side note, my blip from yesterday was picked up by a Portsmouth realtor in his weekly newsletter. Found out only because he tweeted it and copied my Tweeter handle... Not sure how I feel about this...)
