Marylebone Mews
There are times in my life that I associated with walking. My third year at university in Liverpool was the first one and the period when I lived in Edinburgh was probably my favourite. Immediately after that I had a contract in London and, as far as was feasible, I carried on with that habit of walking whenever I could (but it wasn't the same).
I'm walking a lot at the moment, too, partly encouraged by the Fitbit, but mostly because the Minx is walking *everywhere*. So there was no question when we arrived in London, today, that we wouldn't be walking down to Marylebone to meet our friends once we'd dropped our bags off at the hotel.
I like that area of London, north of Oxford Street, for walking about. It's surprisingly quiet, with odd nooks and crannies, including the mews (mewses?) and their characteristic terraced housing. I always think how amazing it would be to live in one but then, if I had enough money to buy one in the centre of London, then I'd probably spend it on lots of other things instead.
