Oh dear!

Well there we all were standing waiting at International arrivals!
Both girls had got a Scotland flag and had written Welcome to Scotland on it and hubby and I were poised ready to embrace the returning traveller! Well we waited and waited and then some, no sign of number 1 son. Finally we were the only folks left standing beginning to get a little forlorn. Then finally he appeared looking none too happy (By this time I had figured out what had happened), just as I was about to raise my phone to grab a shot of the happy traveller, my youngest  raised the bloody flag and all I got was a blue blru. Then the bold boy strode right past us and all we heard was "they lost my F*****g guitar!!!
Instant deflation from his sisters & I just wanted to slap him right there & then! He was out the door lighting up a cigarette before we caught up with him.
Sadly Icelandair had managed to misplace the one item that was his pride and joy so I could understand his anguish but I still want too enamoured with him.

Anyhow we went home to the house & him &I went for a spot of lunch together in the West End and by then he was suitably sorry for himself and us but he cheered up.  We are on the trail of the said missing guitar and hope he and it will be reunited (for all our sakes) However  we both caught up  with all the tales and he is fine

I am however thankful that no one was left at the airport to witness this grumpy lad storm past his family  and the look of utter shock on our faces because they would have thought, poor bugger he's not happy seeing his family

Anyway, I hope he and his cherished guitar will be reunited but it was also a lesson of how not to build up your hopes  as there's many a slip twixt cup & lip.
