Peek a boo...

Another day of sharp showers,sunny spells and chilly wind. This calf was born this morning.It was well hidden in the rushes,but the cow knew where she had left it !
Spent the afternoon mixing slurry again.Had to pump in more water as it got too thick.
Went down the road to do some more fence repairs and erect an electric wire down the back of the houses,as the fence not great,and the good villagers tend to get upset when there are bullocks roaming their gardens! The last time this happened everyone was demanding that I put up a new fence,until I explained that it was a march fence and they would all need to pay a half share. It has gone strangely quiet since then !
The calf was in sucking tonight,but not sure if the cow is right or not. A bit stiff when she walks-hope she's not taking mastitis . Will know better in the morning. Ho hum.
