Today we went on a long walk up Rivington Pike to see the former estate of Lord Leverhulme from the beginning of the last century. The Bungalow has gone and only the folly remains are to be seen.
Hector had his first (and hopefully his last) dog fight with a passing dog - possibly a BT type - who apparently was the aggressor. Hector was off leash and running about with Tina another little terrier cross. Hector gave as good as he got and more. Luckily both dogs were unscathed but from then onwards I kept him on the lead! Sometimes it pays to have a hairy dog ... It affords greater protection!
This is Hector post-fight, enjoying the view from near Lady Leverhulme's Sewing Tower. We were at a similar altitude to the mast on Winter Hill.
We returned via Anglezarke and the reservoirs.
