On the way home from Ikley...

....and just five miles from home.   This is Traquair House.   The Bear Gates were installed in 1738 by the fifth Earl, Charles Stuart.    When Charles Edward Stuart passed through them in 1745 they were closed, and the Earl vowed they would never be opened again until a Stuart sat upon the throne of Scotland.
