Diamond encrusted!

After yesterday's weather we got a little bit of sun today and we actually did sit out for our early evening BBQ and enjoyed the flags waving in the breeze. (See yesterday for the wet version) The flags were actually from the Golden Jubilee 10 years ago when we held a fund raising BBQ for our Players group who had lost money on the Annual Panto' as we were only able to perform 1 weekend out of 3 due to a fire and had to reimburse ticket money!

Whilst sitting there we could hear some not too distant neighbours partying and singing Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Land Of Hope and Glory! Wonderful!

The garden has taken a bit of a battering but I saw that the poppies are just about to burst forth and this lovely bud with it's hairy casing still in place is encrusted in diamond droplets from yesterday's rain. (see large)

Appropriate I thought. Just about to watch the concert (and mark of course!)
