Torrential Rain....

..... and incessant thunder and lightening all day did not prevent us from walking the ancient, decrepit and charming streets of Palermo.

A couple of enjoyable hours in the Civic Galleria d'Arte Modern and a visit to the Cathedral of Palermo, a stop for cake and coffee and a late afternoon lunch, passed the time nicely.

A siesta is welcome now before dinner later this evening.

Weather is set fine for the next three days before the rain returns.
