If you go down in the woods
We were overwhelmed by this beautiful sight.
The dainty wild garlic flowers as far as the eye could see.
Also called ransoms " Allium ursinum".
This is Hetchell Wood, another Yorkshire Wildlife Trust site.
Difficult to find ( as usual) They don't have sign posts to them like the RSPB.
However that is the beauty of their places.
Here you become enthralled by its beauty and awakened to a landscape which appears locked in times gone by.
Picture perfect images are created year-round with the stream at the bottom, and rocky outcrops alongside the bridleway.
The beech provides dappled light, although today we didn't have any sunshine.
Hard to believe you are only a few miles from the centre of Leeds.
We did meet couple of people, and a lovely boisterous bulldog called Bronson, who had a great time on the rope swing! (See extra photo)
In another part of the wood there were bluebells, and the dainty white stitchwort (also extra photo)
So any places on our doorstep we never knew about.
