Tourist Photographer
Another weekend, another different sort of assignment. Last weekend it was all about TEDx Portobello and today I was out and about in central Edinburgh taking some commissioned portraits of a Chinese woman, M, on holiday in the UK and visiting Edinburgh for the day. Her friend Q, who is based in London, had planned an itinerary for them taking in Cambridge, York, Edinburgh and Bath and sorted out local photographers to capture some shots in the different cities. She found me through my website - yay - and so I was the photographer for the Edinburgh leg of the tour. In the morning we went round some of the Old Town, although the Edinburgh weather was a little chillier than Beijing so we didn't stay out quite as long as I had expected. In the afternoon, after a change into something a little warmer we did a bit of the New Town, before finishing up with afternoon tea - their treat. Very civilised and maybe a new service to offer people. With or without the afternoon tea!
