two thousand in geneva

around eight years ago, i signed up to blipfoto after following joe blogs' journal for about two years prior to that. i had a little canon ixus and not much of a clue.

i've said this on previous 'blipdays' and on those occasions when we thought we were going to lose blip, but joining this community has been one of the best choices i've made. the beauty of blip for me is the storage of memories and snapshots that i am fairly certain would have simply been lost from my consciousness otherwise. occasionally i will spend an hour or two looking back over old blips: travels, friends, celebrations, losses and sometimes just the small, seemingly insignificant minutiae of life.

i remain hugely grateful to joe and graham and the team for starting this incredible community. we miss you around here.
