The Assman

At the gala dinner which went onto the wee small hours we partied with the Assman. This his real name (surname). He is a colleague from Australia who I was warned about before we left.

We had such a great time and exchanged a lot of banter.

The large tent hosted over 1600 people who included colleagues, hosts and staff.

We had representation from 55 countries round the world and each country displayed their cultures and shared their experience with each other.

It's truly difficult to put in words this experience but as the GB team captain I was very proud to lead our team in this event.

Looking forward to getting home to see MrsT and L after all this time away.
