Paeonia suffruticosa

Also known as the tree paeonia or Moutan.
Paeonia suffruticosa’s flower is very large in comparison with most other flower species. The diameter of the flower usually ranges from 6-12 inches. The roots are used in traditional Chinese medicine.
A friend gave me this as a seedling and each year it gets a little bigger and more floriferous. Thank goodness it's flowering at last.
