One last shot in Venice - canal boat market

I guess even the vaporetto are allowed to go on strike occasionally. We headed down to our local stop and waited a long time, noticing that no vaporetto had passed in either direction. Eventually another passenger who was waiting for the service to the airport, said that she had heard over breakfast that the vaporetto were on strike. Not being prepared to pay another €60 for a taxi, the alternative was to walk - would have missed this lovely sight if we hadn't!
