Double take
Yes, it is the same butterfly that I blipped three days ago. Not just the same species, Small Copper, but the same individual, she has a nick in one rear wing making it easy to spot her. Here alighting on Erodium pelargonifolium, a plant worthy of a blip in it's own right. Erodium are known as Storksbill, the red tipped spines, part of the seed pod, give it the name.
HUGE thanks to everyone on two counts today.
Firstly to everyone who has viewed and fav-ed the Fixer blip of 2 days ago. It made the top 5 on the Popular page, further promoting Ruth's cause...... Another 15 or so favs and we could be No 1 .... :-)
Also thanks for all the kind comments on my 1095 blip. I'll not call it three years as it's nearer four (!) but I'm still having fun here which is what it's all about.
