From the dark corner.....

Hoping for a starry, starry night.....

This is an early one as I am not expecting to be able to take pictures at the Symphony Hall tonight. I was able to last time but it was a local band - Ocean Colour Scene - and they probably weren't bothered.

It's usually down to the artist's management anyway. I will have my camera with me just in case and can add anything I take as extras or via a link tomorrow.

Just a birdie blip today. No trip to Stratford as I'd probably nod off if I had Abbot Ale in the day beforehand! Actually, the first time I saw Don McLean at the Alexandra Theatre in Brum, there was a fellow asleep right in the middle of the front row the entire time! I think he was asleep anyway......

I suppose listening to music is quite a fine way to end your days! Dad went on the second hole of Turnberry, Elvis was on the toilet and Bing Crosby was also on the golf course. Mom worked in hotels her entire working life and told me that they used to have what hotels called day let rates. You'd often get managers booking into a hotel room with their secretary for a couple of hours in the afternoon. One old chap had a fatal heart attack at an unfortunate moment and the secretary had to summon help using the bedside telephone. The woman with her boss on top of her were both stretchered out of the hotel into a waiting ambulance through the hotel reception covered in blankets for decency.

What a way to go!

Anyway, that's it. I must run out of the door to catch my bus! I saw two greenfinches together five minutes after taking this!

Track? No surprises here. This is probably my favourite Don McLean song - And I Love You So
