Natural Medicine

The Good Wife and I went to Heiðmörk (Heidmork) which is an old lava flow near Reykjavik. It is now grown with moss and birch and other kind of trees has been planted there. It is for outdoor activities for us city-folk - see location.

This is our first expedition to gather material for natural medicine we use for our health. This time it was mostly birch leaves witch are good for rheumatism and psoriasis and some other things.
I have another original Icelandic medicine called Saga Pro, made out of the leaves of angelica and is good for the prostate, two pills before going to sleep and no waking up every hour to go to pee.
Later this summer we will gather the angelica seed for "Angelica" which is good for the immune system.

Behind us is Reykjavik and the mountain to the right is Akrafjall.
