The IRES

This is the group of brave undergrads who have signed up for a summer researching all things bamboo! They HAVE to come down to Rio de Janeiro for a few weeks, but I GUESS they'll tolerate it.

They are a good group of kids though and they seem to be enjoying both the research into the feasibility of using bamboo structures as a fast, sustainable material for constructing temporary shelters (picture, post-earthquake or other natural disaster) AND Brazil. Go, team! Go!
