Improvement

My second awards dinner in a row, though this one had a slightly less-formal dress code than yesterday's.

Tonight was the girl child's basketball club awards, and she picked up the prize for Most Improved Player in the Girls' Under 12 team, which absolutely delighted her.

And so it proved to be a more successful night than last - we didn't win the award we were up for. We did, however, drown our sorrows until way too late and then had to get up for an early train back to Belfast, so I'm a little tired now. Thank goodness it's the weekend...
