Brougham Castle
This was taken at 5.20 this morning as we drove over the A66 on our journey to Scotland, the sun was just rising and I love how the sunlight enhanced the colour of the bricks so beautifully. . It is a medieval castle founded by Robert de Vieuxpont in the early 13th century. It looks so beautiful as it sits on the confluence of the rivers Eamont and Lother near Penrith, Cumbria. It is managed by English Heritage.
