BB KING DIED AT 89 IN LAS VEGAS ON THURSDAY

I had the pleasure of meeting with BB King at one of his gigs in Huntington Beach at 'THE GOLDEN BEAR', an institution for R&B with famous and up-coming stars with  reasonable prices - in the 70's. We had a friend who was a reporter for a radio station and we got back stage passes. While we were going back stage I saw BB KING leaning against the wall alone in a very narrow hallway. I don't know how I had the guts to just walk over to him and asked how he was doing. I mentioned retirement and he said: "Oh no, I will play the guitar till I die, I have to support my large family and all the people who depend on me in my entourage". And that's what he did till the end.
I have very good memories of him, just a kind person. RIP.
