Reconstruction of the Countryside

I was given this pamphlet at work today. It dates from just after WW2 and discusses the importance of the planting of homegrown timber trees to replenish the supplies of wood used during the two world wars. A little piece of history. As predicted it has been a very wet day. I have therefore been inside all day apart from late this evening when I managed a walk just as the light was going. It was such a pleasure to get out into the fresh air. There is something special about a walk just after rain - it clears the air.
