Climbing trees

Ozzy, my very gorgeous golden retriever boyfriend, has been staying with me for a few days, but today we had to take him home.  Boohoo!

Ann said, ‘Molly, I need to go to ‘B&Q’ to buy a steam mop which is on special offer.  You two can come with me and then we’ll go for your walk in ‘Tehidy Woods’.  We need to keep Ozzy clean & dry so that we return him in the same condition that we picked him up.’  And then his owners will never know that he’s spent the last few days getting wet & stinky!

Ozzy is really funny when he’s in the car.  When Ann is driving he sits quietly and doesn’t make a sound.  But as soon as Ann parks the car, he makes little whiney noises and wants to get out.  I’ve tried telling him that sometimes when we go for our walks, Ann has jobs to do first, so we just have to sit and wait.  And sometimes when we get to our walking destination we have to sit and wait while Ann puts her wellies or walking shoes on.   No amount of little whiney noises is going to make her speed up so we just have to be patient.  I’m not quite sure Ozzy understands that though.

Anyway after our trip to ‘B&Q’ we went to ‘Tehidy Woods’ for our walk.  And do you know what we did in the woods?................................  We climbed some trees!  Climbing trees is fun.  I was a lot braver than Ozzy.  I climbed much higher than him.  We climbed and ran and romped and rolled and just generally had fun for an hour.  Oh & I wallowed in a muddy pond too but we won’t mention that because it made Ann angry!

And then we dropped Ozzy home.  Hope he comes back soon.  Missing you already Ozzles xxx

And Ann was really looking forward to trying out her new steam mop.  She really knows how to live it up on a Friday night??!!  But do you know what?  .....................She unpacked her new mop and discovered it wasn’t a new mop?!  The mop head cover was all grey & yucky, there was no spare mop head cover, there was no lead to plug it in and charge it up and there were four instructions manuals in the box.  Phoned B&Q to complain and was told by some uninterested B&Q employee, ‘Bring it back & we’ll exchange it.’ It’s a 30 mile round trip to the B&Q we went to.– Are B&Q going to pay for our petrol???  No apology or anything.  So Ann is now going to fill out the online survey, ‘Tell us how well we did today.’  She’s seriously not happy.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........................
