True Colours
I see your True Colours shining through! A long awaited day at the allotment. It has been almost two weeks since I ran my fingers through soil and broke my back to the point of groaning. It was utterly glorious. Even the camping stove couldn't have made the day seem any better. This tulip was sitting at the edge of the path, battered by the harsh weather of late but this only enhanced it's beauty, with the one petal fallen loose. A flower for the mother's calendar.
My girl finished her exams today. She has needed to reach this point for too long. Her celebrations will hopefully lift her mood. She is coming through next week to show her true colours. I know it will be good for her.
I have another meet and greet today. Imagine this, you get to look round some pretty swish properties in the city you live in, you get to meet new people from all over the world and show them round, you chat about their stay and what your city has to offer, you leave happy that you've helped make someone's holiday and then you come home and put in an invoice for your time!!!!!! I like this job!
Ah the weekend, I am beginning to understand what they are all about these days. The lazy hazy days are over for a while, but the weekend is a very precious thing. Enjoy.
