Sambuca Flowers
Today has been a mixture of brief bouts of rain followed by equally brief periods of sunshine; warm one minute and cold the next.
I have spent a long time today in the garden, taking pictures of ladybirds, birds, ducklings and flowers; I have not done much else. These are some of the flowers on the Sambuca plants that we bought a few weeks ago. Although this is not the best picture that I have taken today, as the flowers are tiny, being only about five millimetres in diameter, it is difficult to get them all in focus at the same time, which is why I have decided on this one.
They have not been eaten by the deer as they are protected with cages, however, the slugs and snails have had a nibble at them; they probably like liquorice.
