I'm Happy With Life

I’m pretty happy with life right now. I have nothing really important to talk about today, and I guess that’s alright. Things are going pretty well for me at this point in my life. I have my first job up at All-stars, it’s almost time for summer vacation, my baby cousin was just born and he seems to be in great health, so we don’t have to worry this time. I’ve made some really great friends in the past year, and I couldn’t ask for better ones. When I look back at where I was a few years ago, or even where I was a year ago, I can’t believe how different my life is now. I changed congregations, and I love it in my new one, not that I didn’t like the old one. Like I said, I’ve made new friends and I’ve even been able to start talking to old ones again. Today after school I’m going to go camping at Locust Lake for the first time this year, and I will be surrounded by a lot of the people I call home. Because home is not really a place, I’ve come to realize. It’s the people who inhabit our lives, not the place we inhabit, although that’s part of it as well. No, it’s the people. I’m very grateful for my people.
