I have a lot of sympathy with Traffic Wardens though; as an ex-Tax Inspector I understand he just has a job to do.

I have just been to view the most perfect flat I can imagine so unless they reject me as a prospective tenant it looks like I'll be staying put in Guernsey for at least a year. Oh well Guernsey's gain is Alderney's loss. Or maybe the other way round.

Off to ring half muffled (that's the bells not me!) for a funeral this afternoon. I didn't know the deceased but I do like half muffled ringing.
