Thumbs up for Stephen

Today is 1 year since Stephen Sutton left his earthly life.

Stephen was the inspirational young man behind Stephen's Story on Facebook.

One of the things he wanted to do before he died was to raise £10000 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

He raised 4.75 million.

The legacy is greater however. The less measureable aspect is the money raised by people who were inspired by Stephen.

Stephen's signature was a thumbs up, an image that went viral when he was in his final days.

People were encouraged to give a thumbs up for Stephen when he died.

Today, with the hash tag #thumbsupforStephen people were asked to take a selfie and post it on Twitter.

Earlier today I did that.

Tonight I give another #thumbsupforStephen

This was after my first official training run for the 2016 London Marathon, where Teenage Cancer Trust will benefit from my fundraising.

Stephen Sutton inspired me to run it again.
