Watch the Birdie

The birds, particularly Blackbirds have been mobbing Merlot today. It suggests that he has been getting too close to an occupied nest. I've had a look but can't spot one. The hen bird obviously thinks that he is getting too close for comfort. She scares him silly & he runs away & it is a good job he does !

It is raining like stink now & so we are stuck inside . Merlot on the other hand is yawing at the door. He wants to go out but as soon as I open the door & he sees all the wet stuff he retreats pretty rapidly.
