If I could take a sledgehammer to this I would.

Got home last night and was in the middle of transferring my shots from the camera to my NAS device when bam! Fusebox tripped. Restarted everything then bam, again. 4 trips later (I think it was the fridge - another story) as I was going to restart the download I discovered that 2 months of photos were now gone from the storage device.

Not only that, it had managed to wipe the files from cloud storage and do it all in such a way that there was nothing to recover or undelete.

9000 files, 2 months of shots and thousands of miles of travel all just gone.

I've ordered a cable to try and mount the drives directly on my Mac. Until then I just have to wait and hope. So much for an expensive storage solution with data redundancy and backups of backups. :-(
