Tried a different hotel in Bristol - Premier Inn, which was ok. It's alongside a road with lots of lively pubs which were still lively and noisy when I went to bed.
Across the road is the Loch Fyne restaurant which is in a lovely brick building. It's alongside the water front so probably an old bond building or warehouse.
I spent the evening with my colleague who has just announced she will be leaving us at the end of the month. She got married before Christmas and her husband is in America so she is now heading over to be with him. We will miss her.
