Grandads Peony

It has made it through another year!!  Would hate to think how old this plant must be now as it came from my grandads garden over 50 years ago but it's still growing strongly and the first blooms have opened today - hope he'd be proud of how well i'm looking after it as he loved his garden! Happy to follow in his footsteps with my love of gardening!

Miserable looking skies out there today with rain forecast - all good for the plants i guess!
